To Place Free Form Nozzle

Select the Free Form Nozzle option from the Equipment ribbon.

Optional: If the Spec Record Selection dialog displays, select a nozzle from the list and click OK.

Select a Placement Point option from the Place Component dialog.

Click the Design Values tab and select either New Nozzle or Nozzle Locator as the Placement Type.

Note: The New Nozzle option places graphics and creates a relationship with the parent component, while the Nozzle Locator creates the relationship but only places a locator symbol at the location for the nozzle.

Use the remaining Property fields to define any additional nozzle properties.

Pick a point on an equipment component. (This nozzle type can also be placed on an existing Piping component such as a flange if using the Main Port.) An outline of the component displays.

Pick a point to define the direction and complete the placement process. By default, the placement command remains active until another command is selected.

Right-click to terminate the command.
